From Northern California, Sacramento Valley. My first, VW was a 1960 Cal style bug in the mid 80’s (funny back sorry) 1967 bug in the late 80s. in 2010 I built a 1966 Ghia.I was in a club call Nor-cal Vdubs. Had my first car show in 2012 with swap, car corral, new vendors, food. 1st,2nd,3rd category trophies and a huge raffle. I did 5 VW invasion shows including a 3 day camp out on a lake. From there VDUB Invasion monthly get together was born and still running strong in Citrus Heights California at California Burgers. I bought my first 1962 VW bus 11 window in 2012 as a shell from Robert Skinner (Skinner Classics). (Funny story). I build all my cars in my garage/driveway. In August of 2018 my wife and I moved to Florida. Our bus was invited to Ron Jon, in 2018/2019 went to Bug Jam, Bulli brigade in quaker steak in Clearwater and Bulli 25 at Daytona Speedway and no dough. In 2020 I sold my bus bought a 1973 VW thing from Miami dropped out at the VW world until 2024 where I had the opportunity to run Volusia Vdubs where I do a monthly meet up the last Saturday of every month, offering a free raffle and Vw of the month at Big tuna Beach bar and Grill in Daytona Beach. In 2025 I was invited to host Dubs On The River at Tiki Docks for No Dough Weekend. I just coordinated and promoted Vw Island bash with my wife and volunteers from Volusia Vdubs and friends on Manatee Island Daytona Beach. Bought a 1972 Bay Window Westy for my wife a few months back. I’m a all car guy, was into import drag racing in the 90’s, hung out mini truck scene in the 90’s. Spent 10 years in the 4x4 rock crawling scene in the Rubicon trails building rock crawler jeeps.
