Colton “bugman” Williams

My name is Colton Williams, from a young age I’ve always been into classic cars. My family always had street rods, myself I bounced all over the place from imports, mini trucks, lifted trucks. It wasn’t until I bought my first VW that I found my happy place. I wanna start this story by saying I’ve never felt like I belonged in life, I always felt out of place. I was bullied my whole life. Ive contemplated taking my life several times. I eventually turned to alcohol and was a severe alcoholic for a few years. About 4 years ago I attended my first VW show hoping to meet fellow enthusiast. The first person I met turned out to be the best, his name was iJack Sims with all Vw events and shows. Him and his wife were so nice and welcoming. We have stayed in touch very often. As time went on I had the idea of starting my own show. Jack was the first call I made and he helped me start the “bug invasion”. We will be going into the 4th show this coming May 24th followed by the 5th in September 6th. Now 3 years sober I can’t be more thankful for all the people I’ve met and how welcoming the vw community was. I can’t imagine my life any different and I hope this show continues to grow more and more for years to come.
