I started getting into cars because my grandpa had two very beautiful chevy chevelles I remember watching him work on them then when I was 11 my dad got a 69 vw bug and we were building it to be my first car he had to get rid of I don't really know why so I found this 92 ford ranger for free on ksl I got it running I drove that truck for like 2 weeks wasn't my style so I traded it for a 2004 mazda sport 6 it was a really good car but again wasn't my style so I sold it and I got a 2003 jetta gls 1.8t and fell in love with it sadly the cars clutch went out the first day of owner ship my buddy and I dropped the trans in an autozone parking lot and slept in his vw I got the car home then put a lot of time money and effort making the car mine then the timing belt broke and blew the car up that car is now in a junkyard sadly then I bought my friends 2002 vw jetta I did a very very bad job painting it yellow I drove that car everywhere to car shows it had no business being then I bought another one of my friends jettas for 200 bucks with a bad auto trans and have manual swapped it, at this time I had just traded my snowmobile for a honda accord I hated that car I drove that car up to Idaho and traded it for a 1989 vw 16v 1.8 jetta to make a youtube channel turning into an old school rally car, im 18 years old I just started a mobile mechanic business trying to save up money to open my own shop to help get every vw back onto the road. one of my other dreams is to help my generation and everyone to love these little cars thanks for your podcast it really does give me inspersion to get to my goals happy holidays
