Annie is a Canadian content creator and lifelong Volkswagen enthusiast best known for restoring Helen Wheels, her 1969 Beetle, entirely by herself. Through Instagram and Facebook, Annie has built a vibrant community around her restoration journey, sharing the ups, downs, and lessons learned along the way. Her videos focus less on strict tutorials and more on creative montages, tips, and tricks that make vintage VW work approachable and inspiring.
Before turning her attention to Volkswagens full-time, Annie built a career in the creative world. She earned a BFA in New Media, worked as a computer animator, freelance photographer, videographer, and video editor, and even ran a successful business designing Star Wars replica costumes/props for cosplayers. That artistic background shapes the way she tells stories through her automotive content today, blending technical detail with creativity and humor.
In addition to restoring Helen Wheels, Annie is currently in the beginning stages of rebuilding a 1968 Beetle named Fender. She also occasionally participates in major automotive events, including SEMA and The Great Race Rally. Annie is passionate about encouraging women in the automotive community, highlighting the value of persistence, and showing what’s possible when you turn a wrench with both skill and imagination.
